Grantham Radio License Led to Career for DJ

Jerry Osborne has mastered the radio industry. His robust radio resume includes work as a DJ, musical director, chief engineer and program director, from the early 1960s through today. And his career really took flight thanks to Grantham, where he earned his engineer’s license and his education set him up to achieve more. “I couldn’t have achieved what I did without that radio license from Grantham.” Jerry says. Herrington Moves From Detective to Director With UA Grantham Degree

Following 25 years as a police detective for the Kansas City Police Department, Jim Harrington decided to pursue his bachelor’s degree to achieve more—and that he did. Upon graduating, Harrington retired from the force and transitioned into his current role as the Director of Safety and Emergency Management at Kansas City University. Ideally positioned to build on his education and leadership abilities, Jim went a step further and obtained his master’s degree with a focus in management and strategy.

Apurillo: Nursing is in Grantham Grad’s Blood

For graduate Asher Apurillo, nursing is more than just a career—it’s a familial mission. Apurillo became increasingly aware throughout his last 15 years as a critical care nurse of the need for ongoing education and professional development in the nursing field, which compelled him to do more. True to his intent, he is now studying to become a certified nurse educator with hopes to develop a curriculum that empowers nurses both mentally and emotionally.
