Student ServiceWinter 2025Sara PhillipsI have worked in higher education for almost 10 years and at UAG for 4.5 years. I have a master's degree in Social work from the University of Tennessee, where I developed my passion for working in higher education. My favorite part about working with our students is supporting them as they work to achieve their goals. I love seeing students succeed and being a part of their journey as they experience wins and work to overcome obstacles.

Student ServiceSummer 2025Tim McKinneyWith over seven years in higher education, Tim is passionate about supporting students on their path to achieving their academic goals. Working in financial aid allows him to play a key role in helping students navigate what can often be one of the biggest hurdles—financing their education. Tim takes pride in partnering with students through this process and helping match them with the right financial resources. Being part of the university’s success and contributing to each student’s journey is incredibly rewarding. What motivates him most is knowing that the work we do makes a real difference in their ability to reach both academic and personal milestones. Tim has been with UA Grantham for four years. He has earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Business Administration from Delta State University in Cleveland, MS, and a master’s in public administration from Belhaven University in Jackson, MS.

She strives to connect with her students and takes any opportunity to help them put their best foot forward. As UA Grantham Student Advisor for almost two years, her main goal is to ensure her students believe in themselves as education is truly a unique and rewarding experience.

She joined UA Grantham in 2014 as an admissions representative, and soon found herself wanting to be a more integral part of her students’ success and became a student advisor. She appreciates the unique opportunity she has, guiding students in their academic endeavors and providing unwavering support along the way.
