National Distance Learning Week

Celebrating 100% online programs at University of Arkansas Grantham

The convenience of online learning has become increasingly important to students nationwide, and it’s no surprise why. Virtual learning is a critical option for those seeking a new path or growth in their career. It’s in honor of these students that we celebrate National Distance Learning Week from November 7-11.

A legacy of virtual education

Online education eliminates many of the recurring worries experienced by students hoping to pursue higher education. Without a campus, there’s no need to commute. Flexibility with scheduling makes it easier to manage professional and familial responsibilities while keeping up with coursework, and online course materials make it possible to rewatch lectures or revisit discussion threads—granting students the space and time they need to improve their understanding of complex concepts.

Today, University of Arkansas Grantham offers a wide range of certificate, associate, bachelor’s and master’s online degree programs which enable students to reach nearly any educational or career goal they set their mind to.

The flexibility students receive at University of Arkansas Grantham stands out as a leading benefit in the online learning space—especially now, during a pandemic that has changed our lives in so many ways. UA Grantham students are free to set their own schedule and complete coursework when and where it’s most convenient. Many traditional universities that have been forced to switch to an online format in the past few years are still requiring students to log in and attend lectures at set times—perhaps due to lack of capabilities and/or the proper infrastructure to support an online learning format. But as a pioneer in distance education, University of Arkansas Grantham understands how important flexibility is to adult degree-seekers with busy lives.

The University of Arkansas Grantham Experience

Online course lectures, videos, discussions and other materials certainly make a college education more accessible to adult learners—but what about the various other important aspects of higher education?

As a fully online university, all of UA Grantham’s classes and support resources can be found online. Our dedicated student advisors are always eager to guide student’s throughout their educational journey—no one is expected to complete their degree program on their own.

From admissions and financial aid to tutoring and career services, our students have access to the same support services as traditional, on-campus students. The Learning Center, for instance, provides study tips, webinars, workshops, technology help and more, including no-cost online tutoring services that are available 24/7 for many courses.

UA Grantham’s Career Services team helps both current students and alumni focus on and actively pursue their career goals. Our team can help you learn how to network, build a professional online presence, improve your résumé, practice interview skills and more.

University of Arkansas Grantham is proud to support students of all ages, backgrounds and walks of life—and we’re constantly evolving and improving the services and programs we offer so that our students can expect more and achieve more. Are you ready for more? Let’s talk!
