Janet Andrews

Bio

My name is Dr. Janet Andrews. I attended the University of San Diego and majored in biology. I then went to graduate school at UC Riverside where I got my master's in biology and PhD in Biomedical Science. I did my postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University in an immunology lab. I spent 20 years working in academics and industry in various scientific positions. I have always had a great love of teaching and realized that my true calling was to teach. I found the perfect opportunity at UA Grantham. My areas of interest are, naturally, the sciences. I have been teaching online over 20 years and have loved every minute of it. I teach graduate courses in healthcare management and medical terminology. There is no one instance that stands out for me in teaching. I am touched by every student I encounter. My favorite saying is, “I am here to help you succeed.” I truly mean that and work hard to bring out the best in all my students and to, most importantly, believe in them.
