TA benefits often cover some, or even most, of your college costs. But it may not cover them all. When your TA benefits start to run dry, stay in school with the Commander Everett Alvarez, Jr. Resilience Grant.

The list of accomplishments of Commander Alvarez is long and impressive. Navy pilot, Vietnam POW, lawyer, author, entrepreneur as well as a public service career that includes leadership roles as Deputy Director of the Peace Corps, Deputy Administrator of the Veterans Administration, and Chairman of the CARES Commission, he is the epitome of resilience. UA Grantham is proud to offer a grant honoring his resilience enduring eight years and seven months of captivity during the Vietnam war.

At up to $1,000 annually per student, the Commander Everett Alvarez, Jr. Resilience Grant helps bridge the TA gap until your benefits are replenished. You are able to continue with your studies without having to tap into GI Bill® benefits or use other forms of military financial assistance.
