UA Grantham Welcomes Dr. Ed Nasab as New Director of the College of Science, Engineering, and Technology

University of Arkansas Grantham is pleased to welcome Dr. Ed Nasab as the new director of the College of Science, Engineering, and Technology. With more than 30 years of experience spanning engineering education, academic leadership, research, and industry, Dr. Nasab brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the university.
Throughout his career, Dr. Nasab has served in a variety of academic leadership roles, including interim dean of a College of Engineering and Computer Science, department chair of Engineering Management, and program director of Mechatronics. In these roles, he has led initiatives focused on enrollment growth, faculty development, research expansion, and building strong partnerships with industry.
“I am excited to join UA Grantham, especially because of the quality of its academic programs and its long history of preparing students for professional growth in technology,” said Dr. Nasab. “The university has been educating students in technology-related fields for decades, and I look forward to building on that strong foundation while helping ensure our programs continue to meet the evolving needs of students, employers, and industry.”
Dr. Nasab's academic and research interests include mechatronics, robotics, artificial intelligence, smart manufacturing, and experiential engineering education. His work reflects the rapidly evolving nature of engineering and technology and the importance of preparing students with the knowledge and practical skills needed to succeed in emerging fields.
A strong advocate for collaboration between higher education and industry, Dr. Nasab has worked closely with industry partners to develop innovative engineering programs designed to prepare students for careers in advanced manufacturing and emerging technologies. His experience will help UA Grantham continue to ensure that its programs remain relevant to the needs of today's employers and tomorrow's workforce.
