These activities have taught me the value of persistence and empathy, and how we can positively impact our community. My goal is to show my children and colleagues that dedication and kindness can bring about positive changes while pursuing personal goals.

I am a mother of four ... I decided to come back to school and then get into the legal system: I want to do better for our juveniles. We have so many kids that need to find their way. I have always told my kids reach for the stars you can be anything.you wantI am a mother of four and I have decided to go back to school a couple of years ago to better me and my children. I was a teen mom and never really knew where my life would go from there. I am now 33 years old and I teach SPED and I love it, my heart is with all my babies. Ask any of the kids and they'll tell you I was doing my courses, even while at summer camp with them! Attending UA Grantham was the only reasonable way for me to get my bachelor's degree at this stage of life. I have four kids, the oldest is now in USMC Boot Camp, and the youngest is in 6th grade. ... it was very hard trying to juggle my work, classes, and my home life but I eventually found a way to make it work for me. I am extremely grateful for the lessons that I have learned while at UA GranthamWhen I started at UA Grantham, my island home of Guam was hit with COVID-19. Part of my job in the military is decontamination. While starting my degree and trying to get the hang of my classes, I was tasked with teaching hundreds of local government and federal employees on the proper techniques of decontamination pertaining to their job to ensure that they remain in a safe work environment and make it home to their families. At first, it was very hard trying to juggle my work, classes, and my home life but I eventually found a way to make it work for me. A few weeks later I began volunteering at the historical society by primarily running their social media presence. The increased social media presence has been credited to getting the word out about the existence of the society within the local community and it landed us a donation of an iconic item from an old bridge in the area from the contractors.
