Elesa Potter
Associate of Arts in Paralegal Studies

At almost 45 years old, I am the first person in my family, including my parents, sibling, my own children, spouse, and grandparents to receive a college degree. This is one of the most exciting and rewarding milestones of my life. I hope to further my career in family law and earn my official certification as well once I receive my degree.

Being a single mom, I've been looking for a way to improve my life to make a better life for my daughter. Finding the UA Grantham paralegal program helped me find a way to do that. With my degree in criminal justice, I was already half way there and only had a short five classes to take. It wasn't always easy but with encouragement from my daughter my coworkers and my professors i managed to finish strong! [My Student Advisor] Summer Macaluso was a huge help too!

[My instructor] T.R. Hoefle really made sure that I understood the assignment and lessons. He was very thorough in explaining and/or clarifying assignments. This instructor also helped me learn through discussions and challenges each students thoughts.
